If you would like to contribute your views to a review of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), you are invited to send these to the address below by 4 July 2008. The Government has commissioned an independent review of CAMHS and the review team wants to hear from individuals and organisations on how well current services are performing and how they could be improved for the children and young people who need to access them. CAMHS is defined in its broadest sense to include all services that promote emotional health and well-being of children and young people and respond to their mental health needs. This includes universal services such as GPs, early years settings and schools; targeted services such as social care and Sure Start; and specialist mental health services such as community child and family mental health clinics and hospital-based services. For more information, visit the review's website at www.dcsf.gov.uk/CAMHSreview/; e-mail views to CAMHS.Review@dcsf.gsi.gov.ukThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
