twitterJFHC editor Penny Hosie believes the speed of social media can act as an agent for faster change:

Twitter converts won't be surprised to see the Francis report "trending" this week.

This is welcome news. People working not just in the NHS but across social care are using #francis to voice their individual and collective opinions about ways to improve care and services.

Trolls aside, Twitter is increasingly a positive and engaging way to engage in debates to help shape a future that is both open and transparent. You only need to join in the #6Cs debate to see how passionate nurses are about providing compassionate care, for example.

The NHS needs to hear the voices of the public, as well as health professionals, more than ever. Join in these debates via twitter and you can be confident your voice will be heard.
