berriesIn an attempt to reduce soaring obesity rates and keep spreading the importance of a healthy diet, Public Health England has updated its national food guide, the Eatwell Plate.

The five downloadable documents include a guide, booklet, poster and postcard so health professionals and organisations can keep promoting the healthy eating message.

The easy-to-read guidance includes colourful graphics for easy navigation and is divided into the five major food groups - fruit and veg; bread, rice, potatoes, pasta; meat, fish; milk and dairy; and high-fat, high-sugar foods - and explains how much of each we need to consume.

It also includes guidelines for using the eatwell plate, resources and hwo to reproduce the graphic for educational purposes.
