JFHC dermatology expert Julie van Onselen has been nominated in the ‘Best Healthcare Professional Trade Journalist’ category at the Johnson & Johnson Journalism Awards.
Now in its ninth year, the Johnsons & Johnson Journalism Awards commend the best examples of journalism in the dermatology field. However, this is the first time there has been a category for trade journalists. The award, sponsored by skin care products manufacturer Aveeno, is in recognition of the importance of trade journalists in informing fellow professionals about improvements and innovations in skin care.
Julie’s nomination follows more than 20 years’ dedication to skin care and dermatology, which began in Oxford as a ward sister. Julie has also worked in industry as a dermatology and clinical advisor developing dermatology educational resources for healthcare professionals and patients. She now works as an independent dermatology nurse and educator and has written numerous articles for the Journal of Family Health Care. Her clinical work is at Oxfordshire PCT.
The winner will be announced at a gala dinner tomorrow (Tuesday 5th February).
