The veteran charity chair and CEO has joined the Institute of Health Visiting following the retirement of Sally Russell.
Pamela’s credentials include a number of roles in the not-for-profit and public sector. Having begun her career as a business analyst and management consultant, she has since worked for the Food Standards Agency, National Cancer Research Institute, and Human Tissue Authority (among other organisations) and served 16 years as the Chief Executive of Breast Cancer Campaign.
She was responsible for restructuring, redirecting and building the reputation of Breast Cancer Campaign, which became a significant force in the field of breast cancer research in the UK. The charity launched the first national breast cancer tissue bank in 2011. After stepping down from a position which saw her speak frequently on breast cancer and other women’s health issues, Pamela was elected to the board of the International Women’s Forum UK, which she sat on from 2013-2016.
