The responsibilities of British school nurses will be very different to the roles carried out by their counterparts in, say, Slovenia. This could be number of hours a week worked, the population served and opportunities for professional development.
To research this further, SAPHNA is asking school nurses in different countries across the world to complete an online survey that explores this in more detail, along with their opinions on the policies and practices regarding school health services.
The survey, which has been approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB), is conducted by Drs Erin Maughan, Laura Jannone and Regina Lee . The feedback will be used for nursing professionals to learn from each other, conclude what policies work best, and set up opportunities for future collaboration.
You can download the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/279RTRX. It should take around 30 minutes to complete. Please pass it on to your fellow colleagues either at home or abroad – many professionals, who met at the School Nurse International Conference in Slovenia earlier this summer, have already been asked for their input. Thank you for taking the time to submit your responses - we hope to collect them all by 1st December 2013.
Please note that all responses are anonymous and your identity is not attached to them.
