Glorious and unseasonal sunshine didn't prevent high quality delegates from turning up to the first ever JFHC Live held at London's Olympia Conference Centre last month [29/30 Mar].

Attendees were treated to talks by Queen's Nurses, top midwives, doctors, dietitians, school and community nurses as well as experts in dermatology.

Professor David Candy, who spoke on constipation, said: "It was a real pleasure to speak to such a responsive audience in a relaxed environment. I can't believe that this was your first conference -it was very well organised."

Wendy Nicholson from the Department of Health who gave a presentation on new school nursing policy thought "there was a real buzz at the event" and had "received a lot of contacts as a result".

One of the key exhibitors said: "The feedback from the delegates was very  complimentary, reporting that the programme was very relevant to everyday practice and of a very high standard."

It was a great pleasure for us as well to be able to host so many high-quality sessions and get to interact with our readers including Natasha Gavin from who said:

"I recently attended the JFHC event, and was very impressed with the range of topics and speakers on offer. I also find JFHC publications very useful. So thank you!"

You can read our summaries of the key seminars from across the two days on the JFHC Live news page and look out for more exclusive video and interview content from the event in the coming weeks.

Finally, the dates for the second JFHC Live event will be announced later this year - we look forward to seeing you there.
